Remember these guys???  Well, its been a while since we did their engagement session...

Well now they are finally MARRIED! They are a lovely amazing and inspiring couple, and I have enjoyed meeting them immensely.  I'm finding more and more that I am so lucky in the couples that find me... Lately, I've found myself photographing so much more than Weddings and Portraits. I realize I only ever share wedding related stuff, so I figured I'd branch out.  As much as I adore shooting weddings, it is always fun to do something a little different, and sort of get a different perspective.  Here are photos from a recent Christening I photographed... Marie & Tobi: Engagement with Music

Marie and Tobi's engagement session was AWESOME! I scouted some locations in Golden Gate Park that I absolutely fell in love with.  Of course, SF weather being what it is (totally nuts!) our scheduled day was cancelled due to the angry black cloud that decided to hang out directly over our spots.  We rescheduled for the most gorgeous day GG Park has seen in a million years, and here are some of the shots that we came up with!  Enjoy :)

A little background here: Marie and Tobi are both musicians. They play an instrument called the viola de gamba, which according to Marie is a "bowed string instrument that had its hey day in the 17th century"! At one point they were both playing and it was so lovely that I almost forgot that I was there to shoot! I actually had to ask them to stop playing so that I wouldn't feel bad interrupting the loveliness... It was like my own private concert in the park.

Caroline & Andrew: Engagement Photos

 I drove down to Santa Clara last weekend to meet Caroline and Andrew.  I always encourage my clients to plan their engagement session in a location that has some sort of special meaning to them when possible. How much more fun is it to have pictures that you can look back on and not only  remember how cute you were ;) but also the meaningful spot where you were so darn cute!

I had such a lovely time meeting the Alsings this weekend.  We went to the Palace of Fine Arts and Chrissy Field to get our San Francisco photo shoot on... I loved this field of yellow flowers right at the edge of the marina... When I went over to scout earlier in the day the sun was shining super bright and the flowers were basking in it... Of course when I returned the flowers were closing up shop for the evening... Howz a city girl to know about these things???  We still loved the flowers, even though they were shy :)
