mo belly mo belly mo belly!!

One of my favorite things about being a Wedding Photographer is becoming "The Family Photographer"!

Beth and Matt were married in 2008 at the beautiful Cornerstone Gardens. Now they are pregnant and they invited ME (!) to their beautiful home to take some Maternity Photos...
It was so awesome to see them as always, and I sooooo can't wait to meet the new baby!  Patience, I have been told, is a virtue.  Hmph.

It was great having Matt there to hop into the photos.
It often helps to have your partner there with you to make you feel more comfortable during the shoot.  They also make great assistants!  ;)

Its been too long...

Okay okay... I know. bad form.  It has been too long since my last blog... As you can tell I am working on a whole new identity, plus (+) I did spend a month traveling in Vietnam (I promise I will have some photos very very soon....)

For now you will have to settle for photos of one of my favorite babies on earth!!! Enjoy!

Erin and Todd

Congratulations Erin and Todd!

Wow, what a gorgeous day!  Erin and Todd had their beautiful intimate wedding at the Marin Art and Garden Center in Ross, California.  I had never been there before, and was so so so pleasantly surprised.

The grounds were just gorgeous, with so many special settings for great couple shots.

We had  absolutely perfect light for the portraits before the ceremony.  I could have shot there for a million years!

Erin showed up ready to roll, hair and makeup beautifully in place, she looked stunning, and with the most impressive pair of yellow shoes!!!

Todd was busy setting up their very own little photo booth.  Brilliant, they picked the fabric, and I brought along guest shooter Chyna Darner to capture portraits throughout the day.  What a great do it yourself photo booth!  I think I'm going to start offering this at all my weddings, it was really fun and I was almost jealous that I couldn't be there for all that craziness!!

Erin and Todd (along with Erin's mom) have been collecting old lanterns and birdcages all year to decorate the site.  It really added an elegance and softness to the day.

It was so much fun to walk the grounds with Erin and Todd, they were in such high spirits (not that I wouldv'e expected otherwise) but we really got a chance to play with the scenery and get a bunch of great shots without missing out on too much of the fun of cocktail hour.  I love that!

The food and beverage supplied by All Seasons Catering  was phenomenal.  I was so impressed.  their honeymoon margarita really stole the show!

Notice all the beautiful letterpress by dauphine press??

From the bride, " my mom and I shopped the Alameda Antique Fair, flea markets and second hand shops for nearly a year to find the decorations: vintage white vases for the tables, the lanterns, chalkboard. We did the décor ourselves including hand assembling the favor boxes filled with sea salt chocolate caramels (by Cutie Cakes Bakeshop in Sebastopol) and wrapping each of the disposable lighters in decorative paper for the first dance.

Also a little different — I walked down the aisle to the intro to Love Song by Tesla, recessional was Sweet Child O’ Mine by G’n’R and first dance was I’ll Be There For You by Bon Jovi."

Conor the Cutie

Coined by his Aunt Kelsey, the nickname ABSOLUTELY suits him.  How divine!

I had so much fun on Monday.  Both Mom and Dad showed up with Conor at my studio which  was great.  He was an absolute doll.  He'd just woken up from a nap as they came in the door, and there was a moment of worry that he might be fussy, but he charmed me in a second.  No muss no fuss!!

Christina and Drew at the Allied Arts Guild...

Christina and Drew were married at the Allied Arts Guild in Menlo Park.  I love this venue, which is really a  hidden treasure!  Every time I go there I discover a new setting to shoot in.  Love that!

It was so much fun to shoot at this gorgeous spot.  We had warm weather and beautiful light throughout.

How absolutely beautiful does she look??

I love this little barn I discovered, it was behind a gate in the back where they were storing tables !!!

I couldn't believe it was so hidden... I love it when there are several different settings in one location.  It really makes it a good day for photography, especially when you are trying to maximize party time for the bride and groom!
